Here's a few of my fav's to start.  I'm a webaholic so I will be adding more and more...

www.NetCadDrafting.com ---  A great website for purchasing unique houseplans drawn in-house and for the MOST affordable prices ever!

www.slowtrav.com ---  HUGE Italy resource with quite a bit for France as well.  This was my main source of info. during the self-planning of my Italy trip in May 2006.  Mind you, for my sister and myself, this was our first trip out of the country, much less to Europe.  I can't say enough about Slowtrave as a planning resource, read it and search it!

www.playa.info --- This is a site and message board totally dedicated to Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  Great resource for the area and this was where I originally found out about the Playa Maya Hotel (great place).

www.locogringo.com --- Another board for the Playa del Carmen area but this one covers more areas such as Tulum, etc.  Great resource but I didn't use this one as much.

www.tripadvisor.com --- Covers every area and a great source for research.  I use the hotel ratings and the message boards to search for info.

www.cruisecritic.com ---  I have yet to take a cruise, but I read this site frequently.  I AM going to take a cruise one day you know!  If you are going to cruise, READ this site and message board!  It's friggin' awesome!

CheapCaribbean.com - Believe it or not but I love this site!
I look at all kinds of travel websites for prices and I think this one has some great
prices on certain destinations. I found an excellent price here for the Royal West Indies
Hotel in Turks and Caicos that I was going to book but unfortunately I was unable to go
afterall:( It's worth a look when you're price shopping caribbean vacations that include
airfare.

Kayak.com - this is a reallly cool website for
airfare. It searches most of the airlines and even includes some of the discount carriers.
They started doing comparisons on cruise fare prices also. One thing that I really like
about this site is that you can set up e-mail notices that will e-mail you the latest fares
to specific cities from your home airport. This is nice if you don't have specific dates
set and are pricing airfare before you set dates.

ItalyWithFred.com - If you're seeking a personal guide & trip planner for your visit to Italy then look no further! We met Fred in the tiny little town of San Quirico d'Orcia in southern Tuscany. Lucky for us, Fred was in between tours at the moment and was available to guide us through Greve in Chianti. We ate at the most amazing restaurant that was located up a white road on a hillside somewhere in countryside of Chianti. It was the most memorable meal we ate in all of Italy. Fred speaks fluent Italian and offers person al trips throughout the entire country for groups as small as two, or as large as who knows:) Visit his website for information.
